2019 Dylan King (Rock Hill HS)  verbally commits to Guilford College

Dylan King (Rock Hill HS)  verbally commits to Guilford College. Dylan has worked hard through adversity and injuries. He continues to develop on velo and secondary pitches to compete at the next level. He was shut down late in the fall and rehabbing from the injury.

 

2019 Carson Rowland (Westminister Catawba HS) verbally commits to Sewanee.

Carson Rowland (Westminister Catawba HS) verbally commits to Sewanee. Carson has improved tremendously since joining the Megastars. He made great strides defensively and collected some big hits this summer.

 

2019 Cole Robbins (Lake Norman HS) verbally commits to

William Peace

Cole Robbins (Lake Norman HS) verbally commits to William Peace. Cole a solid defender and line drive hitter played well this summer. He has made tremendous strides offensively and defensively since joining the Megastars last fall. He's a hard worker and continues to improve in all facuets of the game.

 

2019 Andrew Olvey (Davidson County HS) verbally commits to Guilford College

Andrew Olvey (Davidson County HS) verbally commits to Guilford College. Andrew a hard throwing right hander with mid 80's stuff and slider. He has worked hard on command and locating pitches this summer. He looks to improve on his secondary pirches this fall.

 

2019 Luke Nelson (Jay M Robinson) verbally commits to

Wake Tech

Luke Nelson (Jay M Robinson HS) verbally commits to Wake Tech. Luke a speedy left hand hitting outfielder played well this summer. He made a tremendous growth offensively and defensively over the course of the summer. He's a plus runner and line drive hitter.

 

 

2019 Andrew Alejandro (Westminister HS) verbally commits to Limestone College

Andrew Alejandro (Westminister Catawba HS) verbally commits to Limestone.  Andrew a slick fielding middle infielder who runs well and has gap to gap power. He made some oustanding plays in the field this summer and showed balance and line drive hitting ability.

 

 

2019 Jarrett Pritchard (South Caldwell) verbally commits to

Wake Tech

Jarrett Pritchard (South Caldwell HS) verbally commits to Wake Tech. Pritchard showed a solid glove and productive bat this summer. He originally commited to Erskine College during his sophomore year, however, chose Wake Tech over Guilford Tech.

 

 

2019 Anthony Alejandro (Westminister HS) verbally commits to Limestone College

Anthony Alejandro (Westminister Catawba HS)  verbally commits to Limestone. He a 2 way recruit that throws 84-87 from the left side and a plus defender in centerfield. He's quick on the bases with gap to gap power.

 

 

2019 Trent Black (South Caldwell HS) verbally commits to UNC-Wilmington

Trent Black (South Caldwell HS) product verbally committed to UNC - Wilmington. Trent recently joined the 2019 Megastars a week before 17u WWBA Perfect Game team after leaving the 5 Star (Hoops) team. We immediately spoke to him and discussed his top 5 schools he wanted us to target. He went to Perfect Game and flashed 89-91 on the gun in front of a packed house at Lake Pointe Complex. He narrowed his final list (College of Charleston, UNCW, App State, UNCC, UNCA).

 

 

Former Alumnus - Tyler White (Houston Astros) hit 2 HR's against Colorado Rockies on August 15

Tyler White (Western Carolina) product hit 2 home runs versus Colorado Rockies. He currently hitting .286 avg, 7 HR, 15 RBI's in 29 games. Tyler is o a torrid hitting streak and looking to make the Houston Astros playoff  roster with a strong performance.

 

 

Former Alumnus - Trey Jacobs (UNC-Pembroke) signs with Colarado Rockies

Trey Jacobs is expected to join the Boise Idaho of the Class A-Short Season Northwest League team in a few days. Jacobs, UNC-Pembroke product hit .417 avg, 11 HR's, 79 RBI's, 96 hits Peach Belt Conference record 28 doubles. He was selected on All-American team, the rbi's and hiits were school record for the season. With Staunton (Valley League) Jacobs batted .376 with 8 HR's, 13 doubles, 37 rbi's named All-Valley Baseball League Team. In 92 games for UNC-P, Staunton (Valley League), and Cotuit (Cape Cod League), Jacobs batted .401 avg, 41 doubles, 21 HR's, 121 RBI's for the year.

Former Alumni -  NC State Will Wilson Makes Final Roster USA Baseball Collegiate National Team

Will Wilson (Kings Mountain NC)  recently completed a stellar season at NC State, where he hit .307 AVG, 15 Hr's, 53 RBI's during his sophomore campaign. For his play, wilson was rewarded with First-team All-ACC selection.

 

 

2018 Ethan MacDuffie verbally commits to Montreat College

Ethan MacDuffie (Home School) commits to Montreat College today. Ethan a corner infielder / right hand pitcher joined the program last summer and fall. Ethan a solid defender and provided innings for us this summer. He's a gap to gap hitter with some pop. He will do both at the college level and will compete for playing time there.

 

2018 TJ Davis verbally commits to USC-Sumter

TJ Davis (York HS) verbally commits to USC-Sumter today. TJ a side arm right hander have thrown in some big games this summer and fall. He has arm side run on his fastball with 3 different pitches. TJ also attented the PG (WWBA Upperclass) and three 6 innings on 1 hit baseball. He will compete for State Championship with York HS during his senioe season. 

 

2018 Van Gupton verbally commits to Wake Tech 

Van Gupton (Rolesville HS) verbally commits to Wake Tech today. Van joined the Megastars this fall and played a lock down centerfield and leadoff hitter. He posses a 6.4 speed in the 60 yeard dash and catch everything in the outfield foul pole to foul pole range. He attend Rolesville HS and will compete for high school state championship.

 

2018 Chris Monteleone verbally commits to Belmont Abbey College

Chris Monteleone (Northwest Cabarrus HS) verbally commits to Belmont Abbey today.  Chris spent the summer and fall focusing on pitching. He a middle infielder at the high school level and pitcher at the next level. He have command of 3 pitches and have been clocked at 84 this summer. He will continue to gain velocity and locate pitches with continue work.

 

2018 Evan Lammers verbally commits to USC- Lancaster

Evan Lammers (Nations Ford HS) verbally commits to USC-Lancaster today. Evan a 3/4 arm slot right hand pitcher made All-Conference at Nation Ford HS and ace of the staff this upcoming year. He threw very well this summer and fall and decided to go the JUCO route to better his playing option. He also play 3B for his school and have arm side run with command of 3 pitches.

 

2018 Jason White verbally commits to Belmont Abbey College

Jason White (Jay M Robinson HS) verbally commits to Belmont Abbey College today. Jason a two - way player at the next level. Jason has pitched in some big games this summer and fall and high school team reached the playoffs last year. An All-Conference performer and solid student in the classroom.

 

2018 Jackson Williams verbally commits to Coker College

Jackson Williams (Olympic HS) verbally commits to Coker College today. Jackson a tremendous hard worker and improved player that can play both OF and 1B at the next level. He has worked hard all summer and fall to improve his game. Jackson have tremendous upside and could play early in college.

 

2018 Anthony Palma verbally commits to Macalester College 

Anthony Palma (Lake Norman HS) verbally commited to play at Macalester College last week. The slick fielding middle infielder and longest tenure Megastar joining since the age of 9u. Anthony a solid player who played at the elite level his entire career. He also made All-Conference his junior year and high school team made a deep run into the playoffs last year.

 

2018 Zachary Lyon verbally commits to Averett College

Zack Lyon (Wakefield HS) verbally commits to Averett College last week. Zack joined the Megastars last summer and played a solid outfield and got some big hits this summer and fall. He also was a All-Conference performer at Wakefield HS and team should make a run at the playoofs this year.

 

2018 Dosi Jonas verbally commits to Spartanburg Methodist College

Dosi Jonas (East Gaston HS) verbally commits to Spartanburg Methodist College last week. Dosi a 2 time All - Conference performer and team Most Valuable Hitter at East Gaston HS. A converted 3B and next level talent have been on of the top player on the current 2018 roster.

 

2018 Evan Pawlowski verbally commits to Coker College

Evan Pawlowski (East Lincoln HS) verbally commited to Coker College of Thursday. The hard hitting strong arm catcher has shown 1.95 pop time all summer with gap power. Evan a solid defender with a plus arm and shut down opposing team run game. He continue to improve offensively showing quick hand and balance at the plate.

Will Wilson Tabbed Collegiate Baseball Feshman All-American,

ACC All Freshman Team Selection

Wilson was one of  just two Wolfpack players to start all61 games and one of a few freshmen in the ACC to start all its team games. He started 57 games at second base, two at shortstop and a pair at designated hitter. Wilson finished the year with a .300 batting average to go along with 72 hits, tying with classmate Debo for second most on the team. He tied for the ACC lead with 21 doubles, the second highest total for any freshman in the nation. The Kings Mountain, NC, native smashed eight home runs to rank second among ACC rookies in that category. In addition Wilson tallied 48 RBIs to pace all ACC freshmen and finish second on the team.

 

 

Jacob Raby Tabbed Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American

Raby is another two-time weekly honor recipient, as he was names MEAC Rookie of the Week twice during the season. He finished third on the team and top - 10 in the league in RBI with 31, and he also finished fifth in the league with 12 doubles. Raby batted .296 and slugged .418 with an on base percentage of .367 with 19 walks.

 

 

Jordan Huntley Tabbed All-Region, Region X Player of the Year, Offensive Player of The Year, All-Region - First Team Outfielder

Jordan Huntley had and amazing season after transferring from Tuscolum last year to Surry CC. He won numerous awards: Region X Player of the Year,  All-Region, Offensive Player of the Year,  All-Region - First Team Outfielder. Jordan hit a team high .401 average, 14 HR's, 65 Run scored, 44 RBI's, 14 Stolen bases in 50 games.

 

2018 Jordan Starkes verbally commits to Furman University

Jordan Starkes (Northwestern HS) verbally commits to Furman University. Jordan an elite defender and stolen base threat has draft potential. Jordan, Northwestern HS baseball team won the State Championship in SC. He also excell on the fottball team as a wide out.

 

2018 Seth McAulay verbally commits to Western Carolina 

Seth McAulay (Hough HS) verbally commits to Western Carolina University this fall. Seth is a power hitting 1B with light tower power. He recently transfered from Davidson Day to Hough HS this school season. 

 

2018 Luke Drumheller verbally commits to Appalachian State

Luke Drumheller (Olympic HS) verbally commits to Appalachian State University on Wednesday. Drumheller a slick fielding lefthanded hitting middle infielder made All-Conference this season as a sophomore. He's rated as one of the top shortstop in the state by PG.
