The Megastars Elite Program This program will consist of 4 teams beginning in the summer of 2014.

Megastars Program - The Megastar program has grown tremendously over the last few years. During the 2014 seasons the program will have teams at all age levels beginning at 9U-18U.

18U and 16U Roster size- The rosters for both the 18U and 16U teams are targeted to approximate 16 players. This will include both position players and pitchers.

Coaches-  The 18 U team is coached by Jeff McNeely, an active scout for the LA Dodgers and Director of the Megastar Program, who has assisted in the college recruiting process for more than eight years. The 16U team will be coached by Mel Wearing, former Baltimore Orioles player and Director of the Lower Levels.

Tournament Venues- Both the 16U and 18U teams will play at the most competitive tournament venues. The 16U-18U team will participate in Perfect Game USA World Wood Bat Championship, Impact World Series and Showcase Tournaments, Dynamic Tournaments, and College specific events.

Practice Schedule-  During the high school season practices will be very limited and primarily focused on individual instruction for players who desire assistance. During the 2008 summer season, practice will be held twice per week and include focus on speciality training. Pitchers will be assigned specific days to throw bullpens and hone their skills. Practices will be conducted at both Covenant Day High SchoolsS and X1 Baseball Academy.

College Recruiting- The objective of the Megastars Program is to maximize the potential of every player within the organization. For those players that possess the skill level and the desire the Megastar organization will actively assist in the college recruiting process. 


Program Expenses and Cost- the Megastars program, encourage members to seek sponsorship to cover uniforms, tournament entry fees, indoor practice fees,marketing, insurance, and coaches expenses.

Commitment-  A $250 non-refundable commitment fee will be required for all players at the beginning of each season to reserve a roster spot. Players and families are commitment to the Megastars program once the provide the intial $250 deposit. If a player leave the program before or during the season the money paid is non-refundable as they count toward the team budget and the shortage must be replaced.
